John 5:35 John the Baptist was a lamp Gr. luchnos - a burning light Gr. kaio - set on fire by greater light.
John 8:12 The True Light (Jesus) supplanted. The Feast of Tabernacles and the ceremony of lights - That light which is life - the source of all life (1 Jn 5:12)
John 9:5 Jesus IS the Light of the World.

Col 1:12 The Father qualifies His people to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.

I John 1:5, 7; 2:8 - 10 God is Light - but only if we walk in the Light - and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. Jesus, the True Light, is shining - love abides in the Light - hate blinds and walks in the darkness - love one another.
Rev 16:8 The light scorched men with fire - literal and spiritual (see literal in Rev 20, 21, 22)
Rev 18:23 The light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.
Rev 21:11, 23, 24 Holy city having the glory of God and brilliance - the glory of God has illuminated it and its lamp is the lamb - nations will walk by its light.
Rev 22:5 No need for light - for the Lord God will illuminate them.
