Gen. 1:3,4 God said, "Let there be light, and there was light" - Light was good - light separated from darkness

John 9:5 Jesus IS the Light of the World.

Acts 22:6, 9, 11 Bright light flashed from heaven all around - all saw the light but did not understand - blinded by the light, Paul was led by the hand.

Acts 26:13, 18, 23 Light from heaven to open their eyes - to turn from darkness - from Satan to God to receive forgiveness and an inheritance by faith - Christ proclaimed light by His death and resurrection.

Romans 2:19; 13:12 Instruction of the letter of the law makes you a blind guide, a light of darkness - wear the armor of light.

Eph 5:8, 13, 14 You are the light in the Lord - light exposes darkness - Christ will shine on / in you.

Col 1:12 The Father qualifies His people to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.

1 Thes 5:4, 5 You brethren, are not in the darkness - for you are sons of light.

1 Tim 6:16 The only Sovereign, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light.

I John 1:5, 7; 2:8 - 10 God is Light - but only if we walk in the Light - and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. Jesus, the True Light, is shining - love abides in the Light - hate blinds and walks in the darkness - love one another.

Rev 16:8 The light scorched men with fire - literal and spiritual (see literal in Rev 20, 21, 22)

Rev 18:23 The light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.

Rev 21:11, 23, 24 Holy city having the glory of God and brilliance - the glory of God has illuminated it and its lamp is the lamb - nations will walk by its light.

Rev 22:5 No need for light - for the Lord God will illuminate them.
